I present to you: "Do They Know It's Christmas?" by Band Aid – an iconic (at least imo!) song that holds immense significance, both musically and culturally. Released in 1984, it brought together some of the biggest names in British and Irish music to raise funds for the Ethiopian famine back then. The song's powerful lyrics (written by Bob Geldof of the Boomtown Rats and Midge Ure of Ultravox) and heartfelt message not only raised awareness about the dire situation in Ethiopia, but also inspired a wave of charitable efforts worldwide. It became a powerful symbol of global unity and compassion , reminding everyone of the importance of helping those in need, especially during the festive season. Even today, the song continues to resonate, reminding us of the impact we can have when we come together for a common cause.
I dedicate this to all #Tanglers – big thank you to
