Looking for a jointer with 60" bed and rack and pinion fence
I am looking to upgrade my 6" jointer. Motor is 3/4 HP and bed is 46"
The main issue is the fence mounts on the side. 6" has neer been a problem.
I can buy used or new. Want to keep it under $1500 out the door.
Priority 1: 55" to 60" bed (don't want 72")
Priority 2: Center mounted rack and pinion fence
Priority 3: 1HP or larger motor so I can upgrade to helical head later if I want
What I have found so far
I can get a 37-195 for $400 in good condition (see pic) but I don't know the length. Anyone know?
I am also considering the Jet JJ-6CSDX new.
I can also get a 60 yr old 8" x 60" Rockwell for $800. Good shape but missing a handle.
