If I were a mose their jobs, and my hard work could disappear. The chance to join a powerful elite group could give me influence, protection, and a second chance to rebuild my business. From a purely practical point of view, it might seem like an opportunity to save everything.
However, the condition they giveâeating unknown human flesh and drinking grapes soaked in bloodâcrosses a very serious ethical and human boundary. It would mean abandoning my moral values and humanity just to gain power or success. Even if it saved my company, I would have to live with the knowledge that I sacrificed my principles for it.
In my opinion, success that comes from losing your integrity is not true success. A business can fail and be rebuilt again, but once a person loses their moral compass, it is much harder to recover that. I would rather face the consequences of failure, learn from it, and try to rebuild my company honestly than join a group that demands something so disturbing and unethical.
So my answer would be no. I would refuse the offer. My company might fall, but my values and humanity would remain intactâand that, to me, is more important than power or wealth.
