I’m planning to hike the Fisherman’s Trail soon and would love to get some advice from those who have already done it.
I will be traveling solo as a woman and I am not planning to camp (camping gear is just too heavy for me, so I'll be staying in hostels/guesthouses).
Here are a few questions I have:
* **Which direction?** Is it better to hike from North to South, or South to North? Is there a preferred direction for views or wind? * **Accommodation & Recommendations:** How easy is it to find a place to sleep every night without camping? Should I book everything well in advance? Also, **if anyone has a list of accommodations to recommend along the way, I’d highly appreciate it!** * **Solo Female Safety:** Is the trail safe for a solo female hiker? Are the paths well-marked and secure? * **Social vibe:** Is it easy to meet other hikers along the way or in the villages, or is it a more solitary experience? * **Your best tips:** Do you have any specific advice for this trail (gear, sand hiking, water, etc.)?
Also, since this is my first time planning this, is there anything else important I should be asking or considering?
