Concrete worker and I tore my acl.
I work for a small concrete outfit in Midwest ohio. About 2 months ago I slipped getting out of the shower and my knee was in excruciating pain. Had to call off work because i could barely walk. About a week later I put myself into rehab to quit drinking alcohol. So I was there for a month and decided to get my knee looked at and all they did was an x-ray. While I rehab my knee buckled 3 times and sent me to the ground feeling like I had a knife stabbed into my knee. So I get out of rehab to find out my job wasnt expecting me back with no official notice of being fired or that I quit. Knee is still bothering me so I get a mri. Come to find out I fully tore my acl and waiting on my next doctor's appointment to set up surgery. Problem is I cant currently work and doesnt sound like disability through work is an option. How can I get an income under these circumstances? Something I can do as far as unemployment or a job easy enough to do until atleast my surgery?
