1 night trip ideas for MD, VA or WV, with 7 year olds?
I would be really grateful for any advice.
We are two families in the DMV and are looking for destination ideas for a first-time backpacking trip with our 7-year olds. (I wish it could be two nights but the other family has a younger child they have to hurry back to.)
I haven't lived in the area very long and don't know where to go! We don't mind driving several hours, but of course the drive can't be so long that there isn't time after it to hike for several hours.
I think our max is probably 4-5 miles hiking to camp site.
Any ideas or recommendations??
