Job wants me to fill out a commitment form, but I'm trying to quit. WDID?
I've been working at a nonprofit org for almost two years, it's been my first job out of college so I'm still fairly entry-level, but I've been searching for new roles for the past few months. Yesterday I had my annual evaluation with my supervisor, and we talked about how I was doing/feeling about my role (I recently moved cities and have been working with my team remotely so we were discussing those changes), and she asked me if I could commit to staying for the next 9 months of our fiscal year. I said yes because I figured it was just a verbal commitment, and I obviously haven't told anyone I'm searching elsewhere, but today she emailed me a commitment form to fill out. The top of the form says that it's meant to "assess the strength of staff in terms of job commitment and enthusiasm," but there's no way I can be honest on it. I don't want to burn bridges when I eventually leave, but it feels like they're pressuring me to stay and it could sour the relationship if I lie on it and then leave in the next couple of months. What do I do here? #business source
