I hesitated to call myself a Muslim.
It's not that I don't believe in him,
I was afraid to even say it,
I told myself to believe.
I didn't wake up for a single prayer.
The muezzin was calling the azhaan.
And the infidel asked, "What month is it?"
Water fell from my hand, did I say Ramadan?
When he asked about a book on the closet,
and I couldn't bring myself to pick up the Quran.
Listen, Iqbal fell silent.
It seemed as he had stopped calling me an animal.
I have my own voice. Happy world voice day.
