Although it is difficult to tell about cameras who never saw or hear about it. I try to explain about camera to a person of 1800s with an example that ink can stain paper, exactly by same way certain prepared materials can be reflected by light and preserve an image.

That’s actually a brilliant way to explain it. Comparing light leaving its mark on a prepared surface to ink staining paper makes a complex idea much easier to imagine, especially for someone from the 1800s. 📷
