Road trip: Savannah, Orlando, Miami….possibly the keys?
Hey y’all - please help me plan this roadtrip out for the first week of March. We have AT MOST 7 days. That is including days of airport pick up and drop off.
I am from GA and have traveled Savannah and extensively, but my girlfriend has not.
She’s flying into Savannah and we will make our way down to Orlando for a day at Magic Kingdom. The next day we will go to Gatorland and maybe make our way to Cape Canaveral if there is a rocket launch.
After that we don’t know where to go. We plan on meeting my parents in Miami. I’ve always wanted to visit the design district and she wants to go to the beach. Any recommendations for Miami?
We are thinking about going to the keys, but it is such a long drive! I would love to because she’s only seen the ocean once and the keys are gorgeous, but it takes up so much time.
Are they worth the drive from Miami? Maybe spend a night and come back? Do we have to go all the way to Key West?
Please respond with any recommendations between Savannah, Orlando, Miami and maybe the keys!
I took her to tybee island over the summer and she loved it. I want to show her a prettier beach with clear water. She’s from Minnesota so this is all new for her! I want her to experience the fun I had on trips as a kid (that’s why we are going to Gatorland lol)
