One small shift in my thinking that was a game-changer for my social anxiety
So often times people with social anxiety tend to overthink how they come across, what should be the next move, ‘do I ask this or that’, ‘is this my chance to speak’, ‘how do I fill the silence’ and this is honestly so draining and makes you hate hangouts or any events right and I was very much this person who wanted to be presentable, impressive in these settings and what helped me was I started to ask myself in these moments ‘HOW DO I ENJOY THIS MORE ‘ or ‘AM I HAVING FUN’ and i naturally start to ease in, get genuinely curious and give myself to be more authentic and yk I just start having fun honestly and to be exact now I dont even know how I come across to other people or if I acted right but ik i enjoyed that hangout or whatever
TLDR: shift your thinking to see if you are having enough fun and start doing more of what makes you have fun #relationships source
