'That's going to come back and bite us': Former NASA chief questions Artemis moon lander plans
Former NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine expresses the view the SpaceX approach of multiple refueling is unlikely to allow the U.S. to beat China back to the Moon. All the recent NASA administrators have been unhappy with the SpaceX plan except for Bill Nelson, who can’t criticize it since he was in charge when it was selected. It should be noted that Starship at twice Saturn V’s size in payload as reusable or 3 times larger as expendable could do the lander mission in a single flight, no refuelings needed at all, if using a smaller 3rd stage to the actual lander. #space
