Is it acceptable to wear a hijab even though im not muslim??
I’m not religious and see the world more through science, but I really admire Islam and many Muslim people I’ve met.
A lot of my friends through the MMA community are Muslim they call me their sister all the time made sure i feel safe and respected make me feel like i belong there and I respect the discipline and self control they show. Ramadan especially amazes me because of the dedication it takes.
I’ve even felt drawn to the idea of wearing a hijab someday not for religious reasons, but because I admire the modesty and dignity behind it.
I’ve also had many positive experiences with Muslim men and have been impressed by the respect they show toward women.
I’m wondering if it’s weird or disrespectful to feel connected to parts of a religion or culture without actually believing in the religion itself?
