Do you ever try to calculate how much money your garden actually saves you?
I've been growing vegetables and fruits for a few years and I always assumed I was saving money but I never actually knew how much.
Recently I started tracking properly. Log what I harvest, compare it to what it would cost at the store, subtract what I spent on seeds and supplies. Turns out my garden saved me a decent amount.
I'm thinking about building a simple app that does this automatically, you tap what you harvested, enter the weight, and it calculates the value against current local store prices. Expenses tracked separately. Running total for the season always visible.
Before I spend months building it I want to know, does anyone actually care about this number? Do you track your savings already, or is it more of a gut feeling?
