Doing 6 countries in 60 days -how do you guys handle data?
Hi everyone
I'm leaving in 6 weeks and I still haven't figured out the data situation and it's starting to stress me out a bit.
Route is Egypt >Jordan> Turkey> Georgia >Armenia >Azerbaijan. 60 days, mostly overnight buses and cheap hostels.
I've done SE Asia before and just grabbed local SIMs along the way, worked fine. But this route feels different. Heard Egypt airport vendors are a nightmare and overcharge tourists. Turkey we're a bit more covered since my wife is Turkish so we have that side handled, but for the others I'm clueless.
Someone in a FB group mentioned just getting an eSIM that covers the whole region before leaving. Seems like it could save the hassle but I don't know if coverage is actually decent outside the main cities or if it's one of those things that sounds good on paper. My wife thinks it's worth it just to avoid the stress of hunting for a SIM at every border.
Anyone done this route recently or even just some of these countries?
Most stuff I find on here is from 2021 and I don't trust it anymore.
