460 Resumes submitted, No luck :(
Good evening all,
What seems to be a common theme right now in the job market, I am looking for a new opportunity and need some advice.
I currently work at Lowes as a Sales Specialist, consistently hitting 200%+ of my sales goals. I have a B.A. in Sports Management, as well as a lot of experience in B2B sales with an average ticket of between 15k and 40k.
I'm looking to enter into the SaaS space, and need some advice on either where to work, or what companies are best. I am shooting for at least a salary of 70K, but would like performance compensation (either bonuses or commission structured into the pay). I have been applying for a lot of jobs with titles such as Account Executive, Account Manager, Strategic Account Manager, and more, but they seem to be "too lucrative" in terms of pay and benefits, which makes me think they are jobs used to build potential employee databases for these big companies.
At this point, I don't know if it is my resume (which doesn't include any SaaS experience), or if I am just applying for the wrong jobs. I am ideally looking to get an entry role, even if it means a step down in pay, I just want to build and progress so that I can grow in my career. I am open to moving anywhere for this opportunity, I just need a start so I may show my hard work and build my career!
