Las Vegas 24h roadtrip?

I’m attending a wedding in Las Vegas i april and will land on a Tuesday at 5:00 PM. I need to be back in Las Vegas by Wednesday evening, no later than 6:00 PM.
My plan is to rent a car at the airport and do a 24-hour road trip, essentially driving for a full day and returning the following evening.
The question is: Where should I go and what route would make the most sense?
I want to see and experience as much as possible within what is realistically a 24-hour window. I’m completely fine with driving long distances, as long as there are interesting stops along the way.
Ideally, I’d like to avoid tourist traps and places where you spend a lot of time waiting in lines or dealing with heavy crowds.
I’m from Europe, not the U.S., so I’d really appreciate suggestions for a route that gives the best possible experience of the landscapes and places that are truly worth seeing in this region.
The reason the trip is so short is simply due to work commitments — the wedding unfortunately overlaps with another business trip that I can’t move, so this time window is the only opportunity I have.
Any suggestions for the most efficient and memorable road trip route from Las Vegas within roughly 24 hours would be greatly appreciated.
