Asters yellows—how aggressively to remove?
Two patches of my coneflowers have asters yellows and I’m so sad… how aggressively do I remove them? Can I just cut them off at the ground or do I need to remove the roots as well? If I need to dig them out, do I need to get rid of every trace of plant material? I’ve been googling but the results aren’t clear enough for my comfort.
