I'm new to using a PC for gaming other than VR stuff.
I bought a PC about 4 years ago with 5900xt and 6900xt in it. Rog Strix B550 Gaming board.
Last couple of years its sat around doing nothing so I thought I'd have a go at using it for gaming.
Given its age and my complete lack of experience in gaming on the PC I don't know if those specs are up to the task for modern gaming.
I've started with Mandragora Whispers Of The Witch Tree as I thought it didn't look too graphics intensive. I figure a 2D Metroidvania is gonna be far less work than a 3D type game.
I've got some sort of gaming overlay in the top of the screen which I'm assuming is showing GFX temps and usage (no idea how to get rid of it but seems useful at this point). The usage is nearly always 50% ish on the left and 85%+ on the right, and the temps seem to go from 50 - 100.
I've got the settings all set at Medium. Resolution at 1440p. Vsync on. Capped FPS at 60.
Fans are spinning like crazy a lot of the time.
All drivers are up to date for the motherboard and card, Bios etc.
Is this just because I'm asking too much of a card of its age, or is this just what to expect ?
Coming from a PS5 background I rarely heard the fan spin so maybe this is just what PC cards do - as you can tell I'm completely cluess in this area so was just hoping for some pointers.
