a. Do you still use cursive writing in your daily life? If so, when?
Yes, I do. I still write in my diary and also write down important notes and reminders. I enjoy writing by hand because it has a special feeling that typing cannot replace. Another beautiful thing about handwritten notes is that if you keep them safely, you can read them again even many years later.
b. Do you think schools should continue teaching cursive writing or should they focus more on digital skills? Why?
I believe schools should continue teaching cursive writing. My children often get tired of revising for their exams, and I always tell them that once they have memorized something, they should write it down by hand. From my own experience, we remember things better when we write them ourselves, and handwritten practice helps us forget less.
c. Has technology changed the way you write and communicate?
Yes, absolutely. Technology has changed the way we write and communicate. Today, everything is available at our fingertips. In the past, writing letters to someone was very exciting, and receiving a reply brought so much happiness. I used to read those letters again and again. Now, we simply pick up our phones and send a message within seconds.
Thank you for sharing...I enjoyed reading your post and it brought back memories. When I was studying for exams I also used to write everything down because it helped me remember the work better.👍
