Trying to push an uncooled and unmodified DSLR close to its limits on M45.
55 × 240s under Bortle 5 city skies.
Even with a relatively short integration time, the faint blue reflection nebulosity around the Pleiades started to emerge.
The biggest challenge was preserving that faint dust while fighting thermal noise, banding and walking noise from the unmodified Canon 6D sensor.
Calibration frames:
• 40 Darks
• 50 Flats
• 60 Bias
Equipment:
• Canon 6D (unmodified)
• Sky-Watcher 72ED
• Star Adventurer GTi
• Guiding: ZWO ASI220MM Mini + ASIAIR Plus
