what can I do for my kid to make his childhood magical?
so, I grew up in an abusive household, where the kid's needs were never considered and their individual personalities didn't exist. I never had nice things, never was heard and always on edge.
as a parent now I'm trying to do the best I can but having never known what's normal for a kid to experience I try my hardest but can tend to be more on the "strict and practical" side of the things, I never had silly things so I just don't naturally think of getting them for my kid or doing them.
I got him every board game I could find because I never had or played any ( I actually played my first monopoly with him).
I just saw a funny crocodile blanket and thought to myself he doesn't have one of those, I don't know I'm spiraling down an overthinking well.
