So sorry if this is a general question but obviously in rehearsed songs you do what your part is. Right now I'm still a beginner is piano and I haven't played with other musicians just yet. Like let's say there is someone laying down the basic chord progression how exactly do you assist with he melody (in terms of notes)? Does it change if there is a bass player?
