Some people stay in bad situations because leaving would mean admitting how long they already stayed
The longer it goes on, the more expensive the truth becomes. Walking away forces you to look at the years. Staying lets you keep postponing that look. The situation becomes secondary to protecting the previous decisions. I think we get caught up in being comfortable and avoid doing things differently because we’re afraid to leave the comfort zone.
