Shower remodel in 4.4k

I wanted to remodel the existing 20 year old fiberglass shower cubicle as it was trapping a lot of mold/grime. I knew that if I get a remodeler to do this, it would cost me 8-10k. So decided to source a part myself and just pay the contractor for the labor.

Took 2 labors total 14 hrs, spread over 3 days.

It involved tearing down the existing shower cubicle/door, installing foam backer boards, replacing the mixing valve, adding the new shower pan/walls/door and new shower trim.

I could have saved a few hundred dollars by going for ready made shower insert or going for a cheaper shower door.

Overall very satisfied with the result.
