[15] Goodfellas (1990) - #RetroReview
Ray Liotta may seem at first like he wasn't the best choice to be the film's narrator and nominal hero. Henry Hill comes across as overly Hollywoodized and glamorous among this group of low-level Italian street thugs. However, Liotta's performance improves the overall impression by being very realistic, especially when he falls into addiction to the drugs he sold. Lorraine Bracco stands out with another great performance as Karen Hill, the young and innocent wife who gradually descends into the same pit of rottenness where her husband lives. Paul Sorvino also achieves a great performance as the local boss Paulie, I can't name them all but the film has a great supporting cast.
