Who are you trying to be?

True righteousness arises not from labels or societal approval but from living in alignment with our True Self. When we cultivate qualities like gratitude, compassion, empathy, and forgiveness, we connect with a genuine sense of goodness that is self-sustaining and deeply fulfilling. This form of righteousness is not about projecting an image of virtue or meeting arbitrary standards imposed by society. Instead, it’s an organic expression of our highest values and principles. It doesn’t seek to elevate us above others; rather, it roots us in a state of humility and openness that transcends competition and comparison.

Society often imposes definitions of “goodness” and “righteousness” that are based on external markers—status, approval, or adherence to certain norms. These standards encourage people to pursue validation outside themselves, convincing them that virtue is something to be achieved or performed, rather than an intrinsic quality. As a result, many people are misled into a life of striving and self-editing, aiming to fit a mold that has little to do with their true desires or values.

In contrast, when we become our true selves, we experience an energetic freedom that cannot be replicated by outward approval or labels. This freedom stems from authenticity and a deep-seated integrity, allowing us to live with purpose and fulfillment. True righteousness is the result of embracing who we are, not a label conjured up to appear virtuous. It’s an internal state, grounded in self-awareness and integrity, that invites us to live a life of meaning, connection, and genuine influence.
