Dry Utah hiker heading to Upper Midwest — how brutal is humid summer hiking?

I’m from northern Utah and do most of my hiking/physical outdoor work in a dry climate.
I’ll be in northern Wisconsin / Upper Peninsula in early July and will likely be outside a lot.
I’ve heard humidity can make hiking feel way harder even at lower temperatures.
For anyone who hikes in both environments:
How different does hiking feel in humid 80°F vs dry 80°F?
Does pacing need to change a lot?
Biggest mistakes people from dry climates make?
Clothing/material recommendations for humid conditions?
Hydration differences?
I’m just trying to prepare realistically so I don’t overestimate what I can comfortably do outside.
