Iwas gifted this family portrait by a neighbor. I have carried it with me through three houses, in two states and two countries. It is not my family....
I don't know these people, but I love them.
I try to make up stories for them in my head. Pearl Jam girl is probably a lawyer now. bowl cut boy, an artist. Crucifix earing man? Three consecutive life sentences for murder. These are their lives now to me.
My wife is NOT happy when I try to put them up in the family room, so they come with me to my office and keep me company by my desk.
It is a 16x20 inch framed print, and I'll never leave them behind.
