Driving from Philly to Tampa in early January, advice on the best and most scenic route?

Originally wanted to take the Blue Ridge Parkway but a lot of it may be closed or icy during the winter.

I wouldn't mind driving down west near the mountains or staying east on the coast, just looking for a nice drive with less traffic and better sights than 95.

Extra points for any cool stops along the way or places to stay. Thanks in advance for any help

January makes the Parkway a gamble, so skip the high ridges and take the valley. I-81 down the Shenandoah, then only cut toward Asheville if the forecast is clear. Otherwise drop to I-77 and I-26 through the Carolinas and pick up I-75 for Tampa. If low and salty sounds better, the Eastern Shore, Outer Banks, Charleston, and Savannah is slower and prettier than 95, with almost no ice. Charleston and Savannah are the easy extra-point stops either way. Mountain views, or not dealing with a closure?
