using pose references
Hi! i recently got back into digital art and post it on insta. i mostly make ocs in anime style.
soo, what i wanna ask is, what's like acceptable to "copy"? i mean like, i have such a hard time figuring out poses AND DRAWING ANATOMY without clear reference, and now i scrolled on pinterest and found a PERFECT drawing like i really want to recreate the exact pose on my new oc but then would people be mad that it's very similar if they saw the pinterest one?
im not even sure if it was ai or not lol, the artist wasnt credited at least, it was just some genshin impact fan art i think.
Obviously i wouldnt trace but like when i draw from reference i pretty much make it look the exact same :/ Own character design though yeah, but idk.
I wouldn't say it's like an extremely unique pose, pretty normal for anime characters but idk i havent seen a pose like that since it's not just a basic standing and facing forward one.
So what are your opinions, could i "copy" the pose? im just really bad at drawing poses/anatomy without very clear reference (also couldnt find any real people references like that or figurines which i tried looking into)
i just really loved the pose and it would fit my oc so welll aghh but idk if it would be like obvious "tracing" if i used it as reference.
