1. What would your dream picnic look like?
My dream picnic is simple but full of joy. A big mat on the sand, soft pillows to lean on, the smell of the ocean in the air, and music playing gently in the background. The sun is out but not too hot, and there is just enough breeze to keep us cool and comfortable.
2. Who is with me?
My close friends and family, the kind who make you laugh so hard your cheeks hurt. And of course, Thunder, my furbaby, would be there too, wagging his tail and probably chasing birds around the beach, digging in the sand, and playing with the waves. 😁
3. What is in the basket?
Lots of fresh fruits like mangoes, bananas, watermelon, and grapes. Sandwiches, cheese, boiled eggs, cookies, and refreshing iced tea. I would also bring a banana leaf to lay out a boodle fight feast, grilled barbecue, fish, and seafood, all to be enjoyed with our hands. Of course, there will be chichirya too, chips, crackers, and all those salty snacks we usually try to avoid. Guilty for one day only. 😁 That kind of meal is fun and bonding at its best.
4. Where are you?
Somewhere in a quiet beach cove in Zamboanga del Sur or maybe in Siargao. I love places that are still natural, peaceful, and not too crowded, where the waves and the wind feel like music. It is the kind of place where you can be at peace with nature, and time seems to slow down, giving you the chance to savor the moment.
5. What could totally spoil the picnic?
Rain showing up uninvited, or ants and flies sneaking into the food before we get to it. Forgetting paper towels or mosquito repellent would be a big problem too. Little things like that can mess with the fun, but I know we would still laugh through it all. 😉
