When I hear people mention the "rupture of consensus reality" it really gets me wondering.
Have we always been this divided, or are we ACTUALLY seeing some sort of severance or disconnection in fundamentally shared beliefs on a GLOBAL scale? If so, why? Whats causing it?
We have fringe conspiracy theories that were unthinkable 20 years ago that are now appearing to be a stark reality to millions and millions of people who can't unsee it. We are in the midst of the most extensive UFO discourse spike in at least 50 years. Our government is telling us that non human intelligence is REAL. That is the biggest news of our entire lifetimes if its true.
We are seeing a cataclysmic shift on discourse surrounding the roles and public perceptions of zionism and Israel in their genocide of the Palestinian people. We are unfolding a narrative that the Trump family even plays a role in developing real estate deals on the graves of untold thousands of Gazans!
We can't even agree on what is unfolding before our very eyes when masked federal agents literally kidnap and murder citizens in broad daylight, scramble, and then face zero legal recourse.
For the first time in American history, millions and millions and millions of Americans wake up every morning, go about their day, and go to bed every night believing that the leader of the free world, their president, has literally raped and murdered children.
When these revelations start to permeate the common discourse of the informed American conscience, how do you possibly stop it from spreading? When the scales tip far enough into belief, what happens?
When the fringiest of fringe beliefs become the majority, there is a tear in consensus reality that is palpable, and I don't know if this phenomena is something worth deeper analysis and can be repaired, or if its just a fact of life in 2026. What do you guys think? #politics
