Game performance is not the “end all be all” that gamers try to make it be

It’s very common to see frustrations in the gaming community if a game isn’t locked at 60 frames. Or if the game isn’t 4k. It isn’t irrelevant, of course I want my games to run nice. But to say “this game sucks” just because I’m getting frame drops is just ridiculous. I can tell the difference immediately when frames change and quality is worse that it’s supposed too because I’m a professional video editor. So it’s not like I can’t tell. But a games gameplay, experience, story or how fun it is, is so much more important than performance.

I’d take a 10/10 experience game that sometimes has frame drops then ass games that run perfect. Plenty of games had mid performance and still were very fun. Warhammer, stellar blade, FF7 Rebirth. Just make a fun game and I won’t care if it drops to 40 fps.
