boys should not express emotions or cry because it makes them weak is very common opinion in Pakistan but I strongly disagree with this idea because emotions are a natural part of being human, not something limited to one gender. suppressing feelings can lead to stress, anger, and even mental health issues over time. teaching boys to hide emotions creates communication gaps in relationships, making it harder for them to express themselves. crying or showing vulnerability actually requires courage, not weakness. this belief promotes toxic masculinity, where strength is wrongly defined as being emotionally cold. it can stop boys from seeking help when they really need support.
