Prelude To Ecstasy - The Last Dinner Party
Rating: 10/10
Favourite Tracks: Burn Alive and My Lady of Mercy
Absolutely frickin brilliant. For me, a perfect album, only one of three albums I have given a 10/10 rating. All the music slaps, and the band has a unique style to them that I really enjoy. Going in, I had no idea what I was in for, but I am so glad it was recommended to me.
The musical style of this album is amazing. It’s pop rock, but it’s also large and very dramatic and theatrical, which I think is why I love it so much. The vocals, instrumentals and their quality is brilliant, and it has a unique sound to it that I find really engaging.
Standout Tracks:
Burn Alive: A banger of a song. The whole song is amazing but I love the vocals over the top at the end, there’s just so much power to them and emotion. It’s catchy as hell
My Lady of Mercy - An absolute vibe. The verses deceive you into thinking a specific thing about the song, but then the chorus takes the verses and completely throw them out the window. It’s catchy and super fun.
I don’t think I have any critique at all for this album. It’s just amazing and everything worked.
I have listened to this album all over several times already, because it is just brilliant, and I can’t recommend it more.
