⚽ Football Association chair Debbie Hewitt has asked FIFA to release documents on the abandoned FIFA Forward Enterprise proposal and the decision to lift Folarin Balogun's World Cup suspension.
Hewitt's letter to Gianni Infantino and secretary general Mattias Grafström comes before the FIFA Council's 15 October meeting in Zurich, according to The Guardian.
FIFA withdrew the proposed commercial subsidiary in August after acknowledging mistakes in its process and communications. The plan had envisaged raising up to US$4.2 billion through minority investment while FIFA retained control of competitions and regulation.
The request adds to scrutiny of FFE's planning and approval process. FIFA has said it will conduct a review, while the proposal remains withdrawn and no FFE stake was sold. 📄
