Star Jasmine as a Privacy Hedge - Is this enough to train it on? Pics included, Zone 8A

I ended up buying 8 star jasmine starters from Costco back in like, June. They were $70 for 2x 3gallon ones, and vs our local nursery, the price seemed way too good to pass up. Most of the local nursery prices were like, $35 for a 1 gallon starter, all the way up to like, $150 for a single 3 gallon starter. Couldnt say no.
Anyways, the wife and I have been looking for a way to basically extend the fence up vertically to give our yard more privacy (neighbors can see everythingggggg).
We have 2 dogs, and despite my desire to do hops or something super fast growing, we settled on Star Jasmine.
So I bought those, bought 8x I think 15 gallon planters, and did the transplants. I think put up the posts to hang the string lights. I figured they would climb the posts and then go horizontal on the lights, which would have a cool look to it. More research lead me to believe I needed more trellising, so I bought some basically plastic shielded metal twine, and have it in an X pattern going the entire pathway.
Question:.
1. Is this slow growth to be expected at roughly two months since transplant?
2. Is this enough trellising, or should i do another horizontal line like, right near where the X's cross all the way down?
3. Do we think that these 15 gallon pots are gonna be enough to allow them to grow and fill in above the fence line?
