I missed half of the conversation ...I understand that there's actually a whole situation behind the 'friends' issue. One of her friends is her namesake and also the daughter of the owner of the school. Apparently, whenever there's a problem, she threatens my granddaughter by telling her she'll report her or get her expelled. So there's this whole dynamic around friends, who chooses whom and who is friends with whom. I think that is why she's so upset and says this particular friend is rude and that she can't pretend to like her. At seven that's a lot of friendship drama to navigate.😊

Absolutely! I know exactly what you mean and he's also seven. But somehow I think boys are less complicated?🤔 ...I've had my fair share of drama and shenanigans raising my daughters, whom I raised singlehandedly. 😅Now I get to sit back and enjoy the pleasure of watching them raising their own children- without interfering, of course. I've done my time!😅❤️

Hahaha, absolutely! 😂😂 At 7 years old already, she has a whole social life complicated enough for a grown-up! 😅❤️ I love how seriously children take their little dramas, it’s adorable and hilarious at the same time. 🥰💕 And with the English-Afrikaans commentary from the adults, I’m sure it made the whole conversation even funnier! 😂👏
I actually missed the first part of the "complicated friends issue"😂 It's amazing but at the same time how young they are and already having to deal with peer pressure. I'm just glad that parents can be there as a sounding board for them, so they have someone they can talk to and share these things with❤️ although she certainly rejected Oupa's advice "No I'm not taking your plan" 😂😂
It really is amazing how young they are and yet how much they already have to navigate with friendships and peer pressure. ❤️ I’m so glad they feel comfortable talking to their parents though, it makes such a difference when they know they have someone who will listen without judging. And Oupa’s plan being rejected so firmly with “No, I’m not taking your plan!” absolutely cracked me up! 😂😂 Poor Oupa! Maybe his brilliant strategy needs a little more convincing next time! 😄❤️

I understand what you mean.💔 Back in our day, children were often raised with the mindset of “children should be seen and not heard.” We weren’t really encouraged to have an opinion or speak up for ourselves. Times have certainly changed, and I think it’s wonderful that children today can express themselves and feel heard. 🥰❤️
