I'm looking for the best "performance-per-euro" upgrade, primarily for gaming. I live in the Netherlands.
I game both at:
* **1440p / up to 165 Hz** on my desktop monitors * **4K / up to 120 Hz** on the Samsung S90C
By my own judgement I'm primarily considering a GPU upgrade, but I'm open to changing other components if there's a meaningful reason to do so.
What I'd like advice on:
* Is the GPU clearly the best component to upgrade first? * How far can I reasonably upgrade the GPU while keeping the Ryzen 7 5800X3D? * At what point would the CPU become a meaningful bottleneck at 1440p or 4K? * Is moving from AM4 to a newer platform actually worthwhile for me, or would that be poor value compared with keeping the 5800X3D? * Which GPUs currently offer the best value at different price points? * Would my EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 be sufficient for the recommended GPU?
**Budget:** Flexible, but I'd prefer to stay under **€1,500** unless spending more is genuinely justified by a substantial performance gain.
Thanks in advance for your help!
