protecting exterior condensers from debris and severe weather
We are finishing up the cabin and opting for a mini split to handle the bizarre temperature swings we get at our elevation. The installation looks easy enough, but I am terrified of dropping cash on a costway 24000 btu 18.1 seer2 mini split only to have the delicate outdoor condenser destroyed by flying branch debris or deep snowdrifts in the winter. What physical shields, overhangs, or elevated rack systems are you guys building around your outdoor units to actually ensure they survive brutal off-grid environments? #home
