Straight line of clouds 200 miles long
Can a contrail create a line of cumulus clouds? See
the weather satellite visible imagery from this afternoon:

The radar image of about the same time shows precipitation along
parts of it:

I watched the radar and for the next two hours the line drifted
slowly southeastward and intensified, with several areas developing into
rainstorms. Is it possible that this was an experiment in
cloud seeding?
