Politics and Lesbians
Hi All! I recently joined this community. I am probably considered an "older lesbian" here. Im 53. I assume most of the women in this community are 40 and under. Just an assumption. Anyway, I was in the closet till I met my now wife. It was about 10 years ago that I finally came out. Long story short, I was fortunate to find the perfect woman on my first date. The only miracle in my life. Seriously, I met her through an online app. She was my first lesbian date and the rest is history. She says Im very lucky it happened that way. She didn't have the same luck. She played the field for decades. So getting to the point...We don't hang with others. We are truly that couple that are sort of loners and do everything together, as a couple. We really aren't into any social scene. Non drinkers. Big into outdoor stuff with our dogs type. So I don't know any lesbians. At least I don't think so. I know nothing about other lesbians and what they are into or what they do with their spare time. Are lesbians today political? Are you active in protests against the current administration? Are you concerned with where same sex marriage is going? Will they take it away if this administration remains in control? We're you sad when Kamala lost? Do you look around you and despise MAGA and the people who wear the gear in public? Are you proud of who you are and wear rainbow stuff when in public or are you more cautious to show pride in public? Or are younger lesbians generally oblivious about politics? Are you focused on other things? As a 53 year old I am deeply concerned where this administration is taking us. Maybe just older people let it get to them. Yes or no?
