So today I stumbled on βDonβt Know Muchβ by Linda Ronstadt & Aaron Neville and instantly got hit by a 25-year nostalgia train. ππ¨
Back then, I was preparing for a public concert, my life was chaotic, stressful, and dramatic, but somehow my voice was like a golden violin. π»β¨ That song? Challenging doesnβt even begin to cover it. I nailed those high notes like I had cheat codes.
Fast forward to now, post-COVID, post-life chaos, post-βwhy is my voice cracking at F#?β π I tried to hit the same notes today and, letβs just say, my neighbors heard a very interpretive version. π
Moral of the evening: memories + good music = emotional rollercoaster π’
Moral of reality: my voice remembered 25 years ago, I didnβt. ππ€π
