I'm wondering if what I have in mind is realistic. I have fallen in love with an idea and I just want to make sure it makes sense before I put in a lot of time and effort.
Our backyard gets full sun all afternoon. From May until early September, nobody wants to be there because the sun is so intense. I've since found muscadine grapes in our neighborhood and I've been able to have some early success propagating them. I have this vision of installing a 12'x12' pergola as a beautiful place to eat and hang out, and having big ol' pots at each post, and filling them up with muscadine grapes and morning glories. In my mind, we'd have a beautiful, native, deciduous sun cover.
It sounds very romantic, but are there obvious pitfalls that my inexperience fails to recognize? #activity source
