1. To be honest, Iām not really sure how well I take care of my heart. I always thought if I felt physically okay, then my heart was okay too. But thinking about World Heart Day makes me realize Iāve been neglecting my healthāespecially my heartāand itās kind of overwhelming. I feel a mix of regret and sadness knowing Iāve taken my health for granted. Every part of my body matters, even the smallest, because they all connect and impact each other.
I havenāt been consistent with medical checkups, and I probably should. Sometimes, though, my body sends signalsālike that sharp, intense pain in my chest that radiates to my back. It scares me because heart issues run in my family; one of my grandparents had heart failure.
On the bright side, I do take some care unknowinglyāI donāt smoke or drink, and I try to eat plenty of fruits and veggies. The things I struggle with are regular exercise and getting enough restful sleep.
2. When I receive good news and stay productive every day, my heart literally beats faster with joy. It lifts my spirit and helps melt away stress. Thereās something truly special about that thrilling feeling of achieving a goal Iāve worked hard for ā the excitement is so real and energizing. Plus, trying new adventures makes my heart pound with wonder and pure happiness, reminding me how beautiful life can be when I step outside my comfort zone.
