Southern Africa overland trip help

Hi, I am thinking of taking part in in an organized overland trip to Africa. It departs from Victoria Falls and ends in Cape Town, around 7,000 kms over 21 days across Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. For 12 nights we would be sleeping in tents, rest of nights in lodges. The truck is equipped with a kitchen and all the necessary. I am really excited about the itinerary and the places I would visit, yet I am a bit hesitant on the kilometres to drive every day: on 3 days it would be around 600 kms, meaning I would be sitting on the truck and spending the whole day like that, for 10-12 hours.

For those of you with overland travel experience (this could be my first one), do you think the pace is just “too much” or, instead, I would not even notice, considering the awesome places I would visit? Any comment or recommendation is much appreciated.

Thanks!
