This morning, Floratis and I were on the brink of calling it a pajama day. 🌧️⛈️ With all that rain and thunder, we thought the universe hit pause on our Port-Louis adventure. But guess what? The sun decided to clock in late for work, and off we went! ☀️🚗💨
🎯 First stop: Jardin de la Compagnie !
Now, if you don’t know this place, allow me to be your unofficial tour guide. 🧭
Built in the 18th century by the French East India Company , this garden is like an old soul with fabulous foliage. 🌴🌳 It’s right in the heart of the city, offering shade, serenity, and statues that could probably share better gossip than most news outlets. 😏
📸 The ancient banyan trees? Massive.
🪑 The benches? Comfy enough to make you consider writing poetry.
🗿 The statues? Historic legends in stone form, including Mahé de La Bourdonnais, the guy who pretty much ran the show back in colonial times.
It’s like a history book had a baby with a botanic garden and decided to be chill about it. 🌿📖💁♀️
Next, we headed to the museum... but that, my friends, is a story for tomorrow’s episode . 🎬😎
For now, it’s time to recharge, refuel, and dream of statues whispering history under moonlight. 🌙💤
