ADVICE NEEDED: Replacing Attic Windows with Gable Vents
Hi there,
First time posting in this sub. Looking for some advice.
I have existing (old, single-pane) windows on either end of my attic. Since they're shut and not letting my attic breathe, I need to remedy this with something that can provide airflow.
Gable Vents are probably what I want. Openings for the windows are 20x24. Readily avilable options for vents are 18x24. I can source some 20x24 vents, but wondering which route I should go with the least amount of re-framing needed. Would love to just be able to drop these in and not mess with much siding if possible.
Thanks in advance.
PS: Attic is equipped with ridge vents, but no soffit vents for intake, rendering them pretty useless. #home source
