Enjoy the fine weather. Laundry is something I don't mind. Much easier than when I was a child... my mother was delighted when we acquired a twin-tub in the mid-1960s but she still had to use wooden tongs to transfer heavy bed linen to the rinse section.
I have a vague recollection of her cautioning me not to put my fingers between wooden rollers, so I think we had a mangle, too.

We definitely have it much easier these days. Your mum must have been so happy with that twin-tub. I'm grateful I don't have to wrestle with a mangle 😅My earliest recollection of doing the laundry was helping my granny with the washing in those big galvanised zinc baths! We did all our washing by hand in those days, using a washboard.😅
I remember a washboard attached to the twin-tub and my mother remarking that she didn't really need it.
I recall laundry being done by hand before the twin-tub and, once we had an automated washing machine, my mother stating that she could discard the mangle.
